The College of Computer Studies (CCS), through the Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing, and Networking (AdRIC) and the Center for Language Technology (CeLT), in partnership with the University of San Carlos and the University of Cebu, will host the AI in Language Research International Conference (AILRIC 2026) on August 27–28, 2026 at the Michael Richartz Center, University of San Carlos, Cebu.
AILRIC 2026 is an international conference that brings together researchers, practitioners, and scholars working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human language. It serves as a platform for advancing research in linguistics, natural language processing, and speech technology, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthening academic and research networks across institutions and regions. The conference also includes a Shared Task and a Student Research Workshop (SRW), providing additional avenues for academic engagement, particularly among emerging researchers and students.
The conference welcomes submissions across a wide range of topics, including AI in language and linguistics such as corpus development, lexicography, discourse analysis, phonology, morphology, syntax, sociolinguistics, and language documentation and preservation. It also covers AI and computing areas such as large language models, machine translation, speech recognition and synthesis, multimodal language processing, information retrieval, text mining, sentiment analysis, dialogue systems, and knowledge graphs. Emerging themes include ethical and responsible AI, low-resource language technologies, bias and fairness in AI systems, human-centered NLP, and applications of language technology in education and public service.
Key deadlines for the conference are as follows: paper submission deadline on May 25, 2026; acceptance notification on June 28, 2026; and camera-ready submission on July 15, 2026.
All submissions must be original and unpublished work. Accepted papers will be presented either orally or as posters and will be included in the official conference proceedings. Selected papers may also be invited for submission to the Philippine Computing Journal (2027 issue), subject to peer review.
Submissions are accepted through EasyChair:
