Tan Data Science Institute<\/strong> in Bonifacio Global City, hosted by the <strong>De La Salle University College of Computer Studies, Computer Technology Department<\/strong>, under the leadership of <strong>Dr. Marnel Peradilla<\/strong>, Chair of the department and Head of the <strong>Center for Networking and Information Security (CNIS)<\/strong> of the Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing, and Networking (AdRIC). The conference opened with a pre-conference workshop at <strong>Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall<\/strong> led by <strong>Prof. Vyas Sekar of Carnegie Mellon University<\/strong>, who introduced participants to the use of <strong>deep generative models<\/strong> for creating synthetic data to address data scarcity in network systems research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main conference sessions began on <strong>November 25<\/strong>, featuring invited talks and technical discussions on the future, stability, and security of the internet. <strong>Mr. John Heidemann (USC\/ISI)<\/strong> presented a talk on <strong>Partial Reachability in the Internet Core<\/strong>, offering new ways to define and measure core connectivity and identify persistent network issues. <strong>Ms. Cristel Pelsser (UC Louvain)<\/strong> followed with a presentation on <strong>BGP security<\/strong>, introducing the <strong>GILL<\/strong> data collection platform and <strong>DFOH<\/strong>, a system designed to efficiently detect forged-origin hijacks without relying on complex cryptographic extensions. Technical sessions throughout the conference explored topics such as internet and CDN measurement, routing behavior, performance evaluation, and the application of <strong>machine learning for intrusion detection on Edge-IoT devices<\/strong>, highlighting both long-standing challenges and emerging concerns in the internet ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latter part of the conference was marked by a final invited talk by <strong>Dr. Vasileios Giotsas (Cloudflare &amp; Lancaster University)<\/strong>, who emphasized the critical role of <strong>large-scale internet measurement<\/strong> in understanding real-world network behavior and strengthening resilience and reliability. <strong>AINTEC 2025<\/strong> brought together <strong>82 participants from 15 countries<\/strong>, underscoring its continued relevance as a platform for regional and global collaboration. The conference concluded with the recognition of outstanding research contributions, awarding <strong>Best Paper<\/strong> to <em>\u201cTen Years of Event-Driven BGP Evolution in India and Bangladesh\u201d<\/em> by researchers from <strong>LUMS, RIPE NCC, and the University of Savoie-Mont Blanc<\/strong>, with the authors receiving a travel grant to present at <strong>ACM SIGCOMM 2026<\/strong>. The <strong>Best Poster Award<\/strong> was given to <em>\u201cConsumer-based Performance Measurement Analysis on Thailand ISPs\u201d<\/em> by <strong>Kasetsart University and NECTEC<\/strong>, while the <strong>Best Popular Poster Award<\/strong> recognized <em>\u201cDelivering EDU Digital Content to the Unconnected\u201d<\/em> by the <strong>intERLab \/ Net2Home<\/strong> team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celebrating its <strong>20th anniversary<\/strong>, AINTEC reaffirmed its mission of fostering collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity in advancing resilient and accessible internet infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1600\" src=\"https:\/\/adric.dlsu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/AINTEC-Article-Img-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-508\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 20th Asian Internet Engineering Conference (AINTEC 2025) was held from November 24 to 27, 2025 at the DLSU McKinley Microcampus \u2013 Dr. Andrew L.
