The 31st IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Machine Vision in Practice <\/strong>(M2VIP 2025) was successfully held on August 27\u201329, 2025 at the DLSU McKinley Microcampus, Dr. Andrew L. Tan Data Science Institute<\/strong>, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines. Organized by the DLSU College of Computer Studies, this year\u2019s conference carried the theme \u201cAdvancing Mechatronics and Machine Vision for Sustainable Development<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M2VIP 2025 provided a global platform for scholars, researchers, and industry practitioners to present pioneering work in mechatronics, robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, machine vision, and sustainable technologies. Keynote lectures were delivered by Prof. Dr. Arnulfo Azcarraga of De La Salle University, Philippines and Prof. Dr. Glen Bright of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, both of whom offered forward-looking perspectives on the role of mechatronics and machine vision in shaping future innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marked the third time De La Salle University has hosted the conference, following previous editions in 2005 and 2015. For 2025, the conference received a significant number of high-quality submissions worldwide. After a rigorous peer-review process, 53 papers were accepted for presentation, representing contributions from seven countries: China, New Zealand, Australia, United States, Philippines, Ireland, and Indonesia. Sessions were conducted in a hybrid format, combining both on-site and online presentations, ensuring broader participation from the international research community. The conference program covered a wide range of domains\u2014including Robotics, Machine Vision, and Industry Applications\u2014highlighting innovative approaches to integrating mechatronics and vision technologies into practical and sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the cultural component of M2VIP 2025, a campus tour was organized for the Chinese national delegates, who visited significant landmarks at the DLSU Manila campus, including the Henry Sy Sr. Hall, the historic La Salle Hall, and the Yuchengco Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of M2VIP 2025 was made possible through the contributions of its international delegates, distinguished speakers, and dedicated organizing committee, who collectively fostered three days of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation.Looking ahead, the conference community is excited to gather once again at the next edition, to be hosted by Southeast University in Nanjing, China<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
