Dr. Joel Ilao, Director of the DLSU Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing, and Networking (AdRIC) and CEO of VISON Technologies Corporation, is driving innovation beyond the university walls as he leads DLSU’s first official spin-off company.
VISON Tech took part in two of the country’s biggest technology events: the 19th Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE) and the World of Consumer Electronics Expo (WOCEE), held last July 24-26 and August 7-10, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Through VISON Tech’s participation, DLSU reaffirmed its role not only as a research university but also as an entrepreneurial university that transforms academic expertise into real-world impact.
Joining Dr. Ilao were Jonathan Paul Cempron and Jackylyn Beredo (R&D Heads and also faculty members of CCS); Paulo Luis Lozano (CMO, DLSU Innovation and Technology Office); and Ms. Salie Ann Siao, COO and faculty member from the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business, who shared updates on their R&D and commercialization initiatives during the PSECE fireside session.
