On June 17, De La Salle University warmly welcomed the students of the Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS) to the Science Immersion Program 2025 during an orientation led by the Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing, and Networking (AdRIC) Director, Dr. Joel Ilao.
The session opened with an inspiring overview of the College of Computer Studies (CCS), spotlighting its academic excellence, dynamic faculty, and inclusive learning environment. Dr. Charibeth Cheng shared how DLSU nurtures not only high-performing students but also well-rounded individuals—with scholarships, diverse extracurricular opportunities, and a strong support system.
Participants were introduced to their upcoming immersion journey—exploring research labs, working alongside faculty experts, and diving into specialized tracks like data science, networking, and game development. A research congress, campus tour, and formal closing ceremony are also on the agenda.
The event set the tone for a meaningful and transformative experience ahead. Welcome to DLSU, PSHSS interns!
